While looking for other fish options we stumbled across this little gem. Such a lovely little place. I loved the ambiance. I felt like I was transported to England. The staff was so friendly. It was awesome to her them say " bottle of water" ( I wouldn't know how to spell it). I even said "huh?" Just to hear her say it again. I felt bad right after so I bought a coke. You buy your food when entering and they give you a number. You find your seat and they bring out your food to you after it's done. I'll tell you right now it was delicious. You have to add your own salt if you want. The fish was so big and flakey. The batter was a little oily so I just put mine on a napkin for a minute while it cooled off. Every thing tasted home made right down to the tartar sauce. Delicious! I want to try the catfish next. This is our new go to place for fish and chips. Cheerio!
I was absolutely craving fish and chips and had to run over to the codfather to visit the new location. First off, this location is so much bigger than the previous one. They truly needed the space and I'm so glad to see that What they had done with a place. The portions here are huge and I'm happy to always be able to get an order of poutine when the mood strikes. We have been to the previous location and it did seem like today there was a slight difference in the flavor but still overall great.
Awesome fish & chips! The waitress was friendly and nice. The place was nice and cozy. Would definitely come back when we visit Las Vegas again. We've recommended this place to family and friend.
Once again the Codfather delivers the goods. I ordered the cod with chips. Throw in the tartar sauce and you have the perfect trifecta. They apparently moved to the other end for a bigger dining area and very comfy waiting area. The last time I was here this fish was amazing. I have been back a couple times but I never reviewed. I will update this as this is a placeholder for the revisit.
I came here over a month ago and just remember I forgot to do my review ! I've heard so many good things about the Codfather , but I live on the Southwest part of town. I was finally in the neighborhood and made a dash to try it. I have to say it is really really good. I of course had the Cod Fish and Chips with a Mt Dew. The drink comes in a can , which would be better if they had fountain drinks or the larger soda 16 ounce bottles. It's a lot of food for just a can of soda. The fish is huge , flakey , and a little greasy , but very good. The homemade tarter sauce is a winner , thick and tasty. The chips ( fries ) were very good and didn't taste like the old freezer ones that have been sitting around. It definitely filled me up. I would like to try some of the other items another time. I would definitely recommend you coming here if you've never been. They have a little bar , British decorations to include like a living room like you may find in the old traditional homes of England , even Lady Di was pictured on my table.
